Karen & Tina
Owners

Karen Nancarrow
Karen has always had a passion and calling for spiritual healing and growth.  From learning meditation techniques from her neighbour at age 16, to finding a variety of teachers over her lifetime, she has continued to be a seeker.

Most recently, she has studied with Tanis Day, PhD, with the School of Energy Enlightenment for the past 20 years and in the intensive programs for 5 years.

In one of the last classes of the course, where the class was discovering their 'master level work', Karen connected with her guides and had a clear vision of a healing centre that was to be created in downtown Kitchener!  And the Mindful Hub was born!

Karen lives in Kitchener, with her husband, Scott and their 5 kids (combined families!).  Scott and Karen met in Tanis' course and it was love at first sight!  They found the space downtown Kitchener and renovated it to be the beautiful space it is today!  The Mindful Hub first opened its doors in September of 2019.

Karen is a retired teacher, who now teaches Educational Assistants at Conestoga College.

Karen is so excited to work with Tina, to create programs that will facilitate healing of mind, body and spirit!

Tina has always had the dream of opening a healing centre that aligns with her professional and personal philosophy that taps into the mind, body, and soul and upon meeting Karen knew that she had found her soul-sister and business partner.  Tina’s vision is for a healing space that provides a multitude of services that can support individuals to organically work through things that block their true authentic being and living their most authentic life.

Eryn Handley
Kundalini Yoga, Women's Circles

Tanis Day, PhD
Advanced Energy Healing

Picture
Eryn has been dancing since she was 2 years old and has had many years of training and competitive dance in her life. However, she used to be extremely shy and self-conscious when it came time to freestyle or improvise. When she discovered Conscious Dance Parties and ecstatic dance it was as if her heart and soul finally felt permission to express, shine and be seen through the support of a non-judgemental, inclusive, safe space to explore and experiment. She came to learn the true meaning of dance as a form of self-expression and self-discovery.
Eryn has been a student of yoga for over 15 years and is a teacher of hatha, restorative and kundalini yoga. Ecstatic dance is now a profound part of her personal practice after learning, dancing, and completing a facilitator training with Liz Diaz in Toronto.
She is passionate about offering tools for embodiment, self-study and reconnecting to our true nature. Eryn is honored to hold space for women to explore and nourish themselves physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

Tanis Day, PhD, has been a lifelong spiritual seeker, and for over 25 years, a uniquely gifted energy healer and spiritual teacher. In the 90s she studied alternative practices extensively, including energy healing, energetic awareness, nature connection, shamanic practices, Sufism and the mystical path of surrender, and completed a four-year program to become a Certified Advanced Energy Healer. Before that, she applied her unusual perspective to social change as a feminist professor of economics at Queen’s University and is internationally known for her pioneering work measuring the economic costs of violence against women and children.
She specializes in seeing the unseen, making the invisible aspects of life become real, both globally and individually. Tanis approaches both healing and enlightenment through energy awareness. She teaches about all the fields of human consciousness, how to access them and make use of them for healthy, happy, whole-self living. This work transforms individual lives and relationships at the deepest levels.

Here at The Mindful Hub, Tanis will be offering one-on-one sessions, and once things open up again in KW, possibly some other events.
The foundation of Tanis’s work is available in her book, The Whole You: Healing and Transformation through Energy Awareness.

CAROLYN MUIR
REGISTERED MASSAGE THERAPIST

Picture
Carolyn Muir has over 20 years of experience as a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) in Ontario, working in clinics in Kingston, Ottawa and Kitchener.  She graduated with honours from the Canadian Therapeutic College in Burlington, Ontario with a Massage Therapy Diploma, under the educational requirements of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario.  She is trained in “traditional” Swedish massage, as well other complementary treatments such as reflexology, Bowen, hot stone massage, thermal palms, reiki, and Indian head massage.
In terms of her practice, Carolyn believes that the specific needs of each individual client should be treated in the way that best supports their overall wellbeing and functioning.  She strongly believes in the integration of various health disciplines and welcomes the opportunity to tailor specific treatment programs to the needs of the individual client together with other health care professionals.  Carolyn has a unique talent that allows her to give a treatment with significant pressure but includes a deep relaxation effect on the body.

STEPHANIE FEENEY
REGISTERED PSYCHOTHERAPIST

Picture
Stephanie is a Registered Psychotherapist and a member of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario, as well as a member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association.  She believes that from current and past life events, humans can sometimes hold thoughts and behaviours that may keep them ‘feeling stuck’ and in a state of imbalance, instead of intentional, conscious living. With various techniques, Stephanie helps clients to discover their unhelpful patterns, regulate their nervous system and emotions, explore past life events, and find alignment with their true self.

Stephanie blends both Western and Eastern modalities in her sessions, using Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Structural Dissociation Theory, and Internal Family Systems (IFS), along with Soul Contact Hypnosis, Mindfulness, Meditation, and Louise Hay Heal Your Life Coaching. She is experienced working with complex trauma and PTSD, depression, anxiety, dissociation, emotion regulation, self-esteem and confidence, grief, and more.

She believes that within every individual is an inner wisdom that intuitively guides us, and helps her clients get in touch with this in their own lives. Stephanie teaches that self-compassion is a crucial tool in self-healing, as it allows one to meet themselves where they are at in a way that is kind, patient, and grounded.  With this, she also places a high importance on creating a space that is non-judgemental, warm, and welcoming; a place where clients can be their authentic selves.

In her spare time she enjoys beach combing, meditating, sifting through thrift shops for her favourite books, taking her pup for walks, and enjoying time with family and friends!

suzy nunes
QiGong teacher

Picture
Hi there, my name is Marta and I'm excited to be joining the Mindful Hub team. I've been a student of Yoga and Meditation since 2015, with over 500 hours of teacher training. During this time I've taught Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin, Restorative, Yoga Nidra and various types of meditation. One of the most important things I've learned is that each of us will have our own unique yoga practice because our bodies are unique and 1 in 5 of us experience chronic pain. It is my heart-felt intention to create a safe and welcoming series of classes for all levels of experience. I thoroughly enjoy helping others feel more at ease and feel a sense of belonging with themselves and with others.

I have journeyed through the fascinating world of holistic health for over 20 years; practicing and teaching nutrition and culinary nutrition, as well as learning and experiencing reiki, and reflexology. David Villada
Sound Bowl Healer

Amanda Ingall
Tarot & Ceremonies

Picture
David has been exposed to meditation and healing arts since birth, he started to practice the art of musical healing and found an innate path that has led him to work with Himalayan full moon singing bowls and frequencies. “I am part of a scientific team that researches the impact of advance resonance kinetics on all living things, I was introduced to the resonance generators years ago. After being able to transmute various challenges in health and life, I have dedicated myself in helping others create coherency from within with all surroundings. Resonance coherency works on a wide spectrum of possibilities. So, I have set to combine the ancestral knowledge with practical sound therapy. This can be applied at any level from personal needs to large scale balancing. Take some time to tap into the sounds of healing and inspire true health from within, leaving stress and clutter behind.”
Come and hear what it’s all about!

Picture
I am passionate about awakening.  I have spent have spent 25+ (<-don’t ask) years seeking wisdom from great teachers such as Jack Kornfield & Ken McLoed (mediation), Stanislav Grof  (non ordinary states of consciousness), Anodea Judith & Layne Redmond (energy and chakra wisdom). I offer workshops, yoga and meditation classes and Mind/Body sessions.  One of the biggest driving forces for me has been to make these ancient and timeless understandings relevant in today’s world. I want to share what I have learned and bring it alive in you.
I am also a proud Grandmother who loves motorcycling, (and of course wine) and have started a program for Conscious Eldering for women 50+
I am thrilled to be joining the Mindful Hub!
